The texture of Hiroshi SAOTOME's artwork is smooth and moist although it's dry. It's also looks like ruins of antiquity which has been weathered over many years. Upon seeing such his work which has a beautiful crazing pattern, our thoughts go to ancient times. We will have pots, small flower vases, plates at this exhibition. Addition to all of these items we also have ink paintings painted on clay plate. Please enjoy his first solo exhibition in Kyoto.
