季節は秋へと移り変わっておりますが、日本の春を象徴する桜が描かれた茶杯や急須、皿などもお作りいただきました。

丁寧に描かれた上絵付けには、指先でそっと触れると感じられる、やわらかな膨らみがあります。その筆跡をなぞると、一筆一筆に込められた想いや、描き重ねられた時間を辿るようで、より一層うつわへの愛おしさが増してきます。

As the seasons gradually shift into autumn, we are also delighted to present teacups, teapots, plates, and other pieces adorned with cherry blossoms, one of the most beloved symbols of spring in Japan.

Gently running your fingertips over the carefully painted surface, you can feel the subtle raised texture of the overglaze painting.
Tracing each brushstroke feels almost like tracing the time and care that went into its creation, making each piece all the more precious.

The cherry blossom teacups have already sold out, but many other wonderful works are still available.

有田にほど近い三川内焼の窯元に生まれ、兄・中里博彦さんと弟・中里博恒さんは、長年、二人三脚で作陶を続けてこられました。博恒さんが轆轤で素地を挽き、博彦さんが筆を走らせる。端正な白磁に繊細な染付を施し、二人の手仕事を重ねて一つの作品を生み出してこられました。近年は、染付や鉄絵などで余白を活かした筆遣いを見せる博彦さん、フォルムや釉薬、焼成に一層こだわり、器の表情を探る博恒さん。それぞれの表現にも、新たな広がりが生まれています。Sophoraでは初めてのご紹介となります。京都ではなかなか出会えない作品を、本展にてぜひ手に取り、それぞれの美の世界をお愉しみください。
